Pair Arrested With Stun Gun, 75 Grams Cocaine After Traffic Stop On Route 6: Sheriff
The Carmel woman was released on her own recognizance, while the Peekskill man was remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility.
CARMEL, NY— A traffic stop led to seizure of dugs and a weapon according to law enforcement in Putnam County.
Putnam County Sheriff Brian Hess announced that on Wednesday, around 9:01 p.m., members of the Sheriff's Office Conditions Unit stopped a vehicle on Route 6, in the Town of Carmel.
During the stop, deputies found around 75 grams of cocaine.

A 32-year-old woman from Carmel, and a 41-year-old man from Peekskill, were taken into custody.
The Peekskill resident was also found to be in possession of an electronic stun gun.

Both were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (narcotic drug — intent to sell); and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (narcotic drug). The Peekskill man was also charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
While the Carmel woman was released on her own recognizance with electronic monitoring, the Peekskill man was remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility.
