$150K Transferred From Nassau County Businesses, Philadelphia Woman Charged After Grand Larceny: PD
The woman received multiple charges, police say.

NASSAU COUNTY, NY — A Pennsylvania woman was arrested after a grand larceny that occurred in 2022 in Syosset and in 2021 in Nassau County, police said.
NCPD said that Zench Eye Care, located on Merrick Road in Baldwin, received a fraudulent email on Sep. 20, 2021, requesting a wire transfer of $49,300. The business believed it to be a legitimate payment request and processed the wire transfer, according to police. The next day, the business contacted police to report the fraudulent payment request, police said.
Police stated that during the investigation, it was revealed that a check issued by a Syosset law firm for $101,150.61 on June 17, 2022, had been intercepted, altered, and deposited into an unauthorized personal bank account.

After further investigation, it was revealed that Danesha Glenn from Philadelphia was in connection with the above, NCPD said.
Nassau County police arrested Glenn, and she was charged with second-degree grand larceny, third-degree grand larceny, and first-degree identity theft, police said. She was arraigned on Friday in Mineola, police said.
