East Islip Contractor Arrested In Connection With Not Finishing Work He Was Paid For At Stony Brook Home: PD
He was hired in January and stopped working after completing only part of the renovations, Suffolk police say.

STONY BROOK, NY — An East Islip contractor has been arrested in connection with not providing services he was paid for work at a home in Stony Brook, Suffolk police said.
A woman hired M3 Development Group Inc. on Jan. 8, to make home improvements to her house in Stony Brook, and the contractor, Michael Specchio, stopped working after completing only part of the renovations, according to police.
Detectives arrested Specchio Monday at the 6th Precinct in Selden, and further investigation revealed his Suffolk County contractor’s license was expired, police said.

Specchio, 48, of East Islip, was charged with third-degree grand larceny, and unlicensed contractor. He will be held overnight at the precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip.
Police are asking anyone who believes they were a victim of Specchio's to contact 631-852-COPS (2677).
