NC Man Gets 25 Years For 'Brutal' Slaying Of LIer Outside Of Yacht Club: DA

RIVERSIDE, NY — A North Carolina man was sentenced Tuesday to 25 years in prison in connection with the fatal stabbing of 52-year-old Christopher Millwater last year outside the Stony Brook Yacht Club, Suffolk District Attorney Ray Tierney's office said.

On Aug. 11, Victor Panebianco, 33, of King, NC, pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree manslaughter. He was additionally sentenced to five years of post-release supervision.

He was represented by Jonathan Manley of Hauppauge.

Panebianco's co-defendant, Kacy Corso, on July 22, also pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter for
her role in the crime. She is expected to be sentenced on Thursday to seven years in
prison.

Her attorney, Christopher Gioe of Hauppauge, previously told Patch that she remained in her car "throughout the altercation," and has "consistently expressed remorse."

"She has agreed to cooperate with the prosecution and will face seven years of incarceration followed by five years of post-supervision," he added.

She is expected to be sentenced Thursday to seven years in prison for her role in the killing.

Tierney said that the killing of Millwater "at the hands of" Panebianco was "brutal.”

“We are grateful that the court imposed the maximum sentence requested by my office," he said. "We hope that the victim’s loved ones find some solace in knowing that justice was served."

On Nov. 10, 2025, at around 3:42 a.m., Suffolk police received a 911 call with a report of an unconscious male on the ground in the parking lot of the yacht club, and when officers and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene, they found Millwater with two stab wounds to the chest, prosecutors said.

He was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital and pronounced dead.

The subsequent investigation, which included witness interviews and review of video and audio surveillance, revealed Millwater pulled into the yacht club and parked his car shortly before the 911 call was placed, prosecutors said, adding that Panebianco and Corso had just pulled into the same lot, both sitting inside Corso’s vehicle.

Panebianco got out of the passenger side of the vehicle and approached Millwater, and upon seeing him, he drove around Corso’s car towards the exit, but Corso crashed into him,
preventing him from leaving, according to prosecutors.

At that point, Millwater got out of his car and tried to run away from the scene, prosecutors said, adding that surveillance footage from the scene showed Panebianco chased after Millwater while swinging a knife, eventually catching up to him.

Panebianco continued to scuffle with Millwater and threatened to kill him, while Corso yelled at him, and a few moments later, Millwater lay motionless on the ground as Panebianco kicked him in the head, according to prosecutors.

Panebianco and Corso then got back into the vehicle and fled the scene and the state, prosecutors said, adding that cellular telephone records revealed the pair arrived on Long Island
from out of state less than an hour and a half before the killing and fled New York after.

On Nov. 19, 2025, Panebianco was arrested in North Carolina with the help of the Stokes County Sheriff’s office, and Corso, who had returned to Suffolk, was arrested by the police, prosecutors said.
