MTA Bus Crash Injures 1 On UES, Police Say

The bus hit several cars, overturning one, according to NYPD officials.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — An MTA bus crashed into several cars, injuring a passenger, on the Upper East Side overnight on Tuesday, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the bus was driving uptown on First Avenue when the driver lost control of the bus, in front of East 83rd St. and First Avenue, at around 3:34 a.m.

The bus hit several cars, overturning one of them, police said. All of the cars impacted were parked and unoccupied, police said.

The bus had one passenger who sustained minor injuries from the crash and was treated at the scene, police said. The bus operator was not injured during the crash, police said.

Police said the incident is under investigation.
