Multiple Subway Lines Delayed After Person Struck By NYC Train

UPPER EAST SIDE — Multiple subway lines are experiencing delays after a man was struck by a train in Manhattan on Thursday, according to the MTA and police.

The incident happened at the 86th Street subway station in the Upper East Side around 2:40 p.m., police said.

The man was apparently walking on the train tracks when he was struck. He was taken to a local hospital, where he is expected to survive.

The 4 and 6 train lines are currently with delays in both directions after the incident. No. 5 trains were previously running on No. 2 lines tracks.

Additional incident details have not been released. An investigation remains ongoing.
