St. Vincent, Lykke Li Among Stars To Perform At The Met

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — St. Vincent, Lykke Li and Jason Isbell are among the musicians headed to the Metropolitan Museum of Art for a new season of performances stretching from September through February.

The Upper East Side museum's 2026-27 Met Live Arts season will feature concerts, dance performances and newly commissioned works staged throughout The Met Fifth Avenue, including in the Temple of Dendur, Charles Engelhard Court and Arms and Armor Court.

"By bringing exceptional artists to The Met, these collaborations invite audiences to experience art spanning disciplines, cultures, and centuries in ways that are both innovative and deeply engaging," Max Hollein, The Met's CEO, said. "Like all our programming, the latest performance season reflects our commitment to fostering artistic exchange while building on the Museum’s longstanding legacy as a place where creative ideas continue to inspire new perspectives."

The season kicks off Sept. 16, when Swedish singer Lykke Li performs music from her new album, "The Afterparty," at the Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium.

The museum is also launching a "Guitar Icons" series ahead of the spring 2027 opening of a new gallery dedicated to the American guitar. Mississippi blues guitarist Christone "Kingfish" Ingram will perform Oct. 2 and 3, followed by Jason Isbell on Feb. 2 and St. Vincent on Feb. 20.

Other performances will take over some of The Met's most recognizable spaces.

Dancer-choreographers Rashaun Mitchell and Silas Riener will bring a new work to the Temple of Dendur in January, while Chief Xian aTunde Adjuah will perform there Feb. 8 and 9 as part of The Met's Black History Month programming.

Radiohead guitarist and film composer Jonny Greenwood will take over the Arms and Armor Court for an eight-hour performance Feb. 27, featuring the museum's Thomas Appleton pipe organ from 1830.

Holiday programming includes New Orleans' Rebirth Brass Band on Dec. 12 and 13, while other season highlights include tap artist and choreographer Ayodele Casel, Black Belt Eagle Scout and Joe Rainey.
