E-Scooter Crash Sends Man To The Hospital With Face Wounds, Police Say
The man was hospitalized after hitting the side door of an SUV, Nassau County Police say.
WANTAGH, NY. — A 28-year-old man was hospitalized Friday night after crashing his E-Scooter into a Jeep Grand Cherokee in Wantagh, police said.
Nassau County police said the unidentified 28-year-old was riding his e-scooter on Briard Street when he collided with the passenger side door of a 2019 Grand Cherokee that was turning left onto Homestead Avenue. The scooter rider, police said, suffered an arm injury and multiple lacerations to his face. He was hospitalized and listed in stable condition, police said.
According to Nassau County police, e-scooters are banned from bike lanes, vehicle lanes, park paths and sidewalks across the county. Police did not report any arrests, charges or fines being handed out as a result of the crash Friday.
