Pedestrian Killed On Henry Hudson Parkway, Police Say

No arrests have been made yet, police said.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A pedestrian was struck and killed on Wednesday night while walking on the Henry Hudson Parkway in Washington Heights, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the man was crossing the parkway east to west near West 151st Street around 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, when two cars hit him.

First, the man was hit by the driver of a Toyota minivan heading south in the left lane, and the impact from the hit threw the pedestrian onto the northbound lane, where the driver of a Dodge SUV hit him in the left lane.

The man was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where he was pronounced dead. Both drivers stayed on the scene, and no arrests have been made yet, police said.

Police are still working to confirm the victim's identity, and the investigation into the incident is underway.
