Free, family-friendly celebration at Golden Acres Organic Farm
On Saturday, April 18, 2026 (Rain Date: Sunday, April 19), Slow Food East End invites the community to gather for its 5th Annual Earth Day Celebration at Golden Acres Organic Farm in Jamesport, NY.
This free, family-friendly event brings together local farmers, food producers, artisans, and environmental advocates for a day rooted in connection—to the land, to food, and to each other.
Guests will enjoy:
- Live music by Julia King
- Fresh, local food and seasonal offerings from East End vendors
- Long Island Aquarium Touch Tank (Hands On Experience)
- Educational demonstrations on gardening, composting, and sustainable practices
- Local farms and producers offering flowers, plants, herbs, eggs, and more
- Sustainable goods, crafts, books, and baked treats
- Fun for the whole family, including face painting
Set on the scenic grounds of Golden Acres Organic Farm—one of the first organically planted farms on the East End—the event reflects a shared commitment to environmental stewardship and community resilience. The farm has earned the Slow Food Snail of Approval for its soil, business, and community practices.
