Hampton Bays Man Charged With DWI After 2-Car Crash In East Quogue: Police

EAST QUOGUE, NY — A Hampton Bays man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a two-vehicle crash resulting in injuries in East Quogue Monday, police said.

According to Southampton Town police, the crash took place at 8:12 p.m. on Montauk Highway and Carter Lane. During the investigation, it was determined that one of the drivers was intoxicated by alcohol, police said.

Alan Vasquez, 20, of Hampton Bays, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor DWI, as well as second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, both misdemeanors, police said.

Both he and the other driver where taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
