Manorville Man Arrested After Causing More Than $400K In Damage To LI Golf Course: Police

He was arrested Friday, police say.

MANORVILLE, NY — A Manorville man was arrested after damaging a golf course, police said.

According to Suffolk County police, Joseph Manzella, 24, who lives in Manorville, was arrested at 2:17 p.m. Friday on Dawn Drive in Shirley.

He caused damage to a Manorville golf course during two incidents in 2025, police said.

The Pine Hills Golf and Country Club, located on Country Club Drive, was damaged on January 13 and October 11, 2025, when someone drove a vehicle on the property causing $416,500 in damage, police said.

Following an investigation by Seventh Precinct Crime Section officers and Seventh Squad detectives, Manzella was arrested, police said.

Manzella was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal mischief, a felony, police said.

Manzella will be held at the Seventh Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday, police said.
