Hospice of Westchester Hosts Successful “In Celebration” Gala Cocktail Reception
Proceeds from the annual event will support the organization's Caregiver, Complementary Care and Bereavement Programs
Hospice of Westchester (HOW) recently hosted its annual “In Celebration” Gala Cocktail Reception at the Westchester Country Club in Rye. The event honored Susan Fox, President & CEO of White Plains Hospital and Regional Senior Vice President for the Hudson Valley at Montefiore Einstein. The evening also honored James P. O’Toole, a steadfast supporter, former Board Chair, and cherished member of the Hospice of Westchester family, with a Celebration of Life. A special recognition was also given to longtime supporter and Grand Sponsor of the event, Rochelle E. Shereff.
“Our ‘In Celebration’ Gala Cocktail Reception is a highlight of our year, and we are incredibly grateful to our generous sponsors and dedicated supporters who made the evening an extraordinary success,”
said Mary K. Spengler, RN, MS, LNHA, chief executive officer of HOW. “It was a privilege to honor Susan Fox, who has been a fierce advocate for all that we do and the vital role our organization plays in providing compassionate care for members of our community when they need us most.”

The evening featured live entertainment and culinary delights, and funds raised from the event benefited The Anna & Louis H. Shereff Caregiver, Complementary Care, and Bereavement Programs. Thanks to the generosity of Rochelle Shereff, who has matched all monies raised from “In Celebration,” these programs are offered to HOW patients at no cost to them.
“In Celebration” event co-chairs included William F. Flooks Jr. and Michele and Terry Geller, DDS. The event’s Grand Sponsor was Rochelle E. Shereff.
