It's 'Jazz Baby': There's A Brand New Story Walk In Town

We are excited to announce the posting of a new book, Jazz Baby written by Carole Boston Weatherford and illustrated by Laura Freeman. Jazz Baby will be at the Bryant – Mamaroneck StoryWalk Trail until October 19.

A celebration of music and movement, this story is inspired by the riffs, rhythms, and freedom of jazz. Jazz Baby is a rhythmic children's picture book that celebrates the joy of music through bouncy, rhyming verse. Colorful spreads show close-ups of children playing drums, piano, and bass as they swing, sway, and jitterbug to the music. Weatherford offers an appealing and rhythmic text just right for young children. Freeman’s colorful, contemporary illustrations have real appeal, and invite every child to find herself or himself in the story. Jazz Baby is an exciting way to introduce young children to the instruments and rhythms of jazz.

About the Park
The Bryant-Mamaroneck Park is located on the corner of Bryant and Mamaroneck Avenues. The park entrance is on the Mamaroneck Avenue side. Parking is available in the City of White Plains Mamaroneck Avenue parking lot on the lower level.
