Manhattanville Welcomes a Sold-Out Crowd to Jazz at Reid Castle Celebrating Community, Culture and Live Music
An intimate series debut led by Mark Morganelli, blending Brazilian jazz, candlelight, and community

PURCHASE, NY — February 13, 2026 — Manhattanville University proudly welcomed more than 120 jazz lovers to the historic Reid Castle on Thursday evening for Celebrating Brazil! the opening concert in the Jazz at Reid Castle 2026 Concert Series. The sold-out performance transformed the iconic Great Hall into an intimate jazz club, setting the tone for a season rooted in artistry, connection, and shared cultural experience.
Led by renowned trumpeter and flugelhornist Mark Morganelli, the evening featured a vibrant program performed by the Jazz Forum All-Stars, captivating patrons with soulful melodies, virtuosic improvisation, and the unmistakable warmth of live jazz. Guests enjoyed a cabaret-style experience that brought performers and audience together in a setting as elegant as it was welcoming.

The concert marked the first of four performances in Manhattanville’s 2026 Jazz at Reid Castle series, an initiative designed to invite the broader community onto campus for accessible, high-quality cultural programming.
