WHITE PLAINS, NY — A new facility that could make a big difference in the lives of Hudson Valley families has now opened its doors.

A pediatric mental health provider has opened a new clinic in White Plains, expanding services for families in Westchester County and nearby Connecticut. Brightline has announced that its fourth clinic in the New York region is now open at 1133 Westchester Ave., Suite N-006.

The company said the White Plains location is intended to expand access to in-network care offered both in person and virtually. The clinic is opening as families in the region continue to face limited appointment availability and growing waitlists for pediatric behavioral health care, company officials said.

Brightline cited a 2025 community health needs analysis conducted by Northwell Health that found half of Westchester County residents identified a lack of available appointments as a top barrier to mental health care. Another 52 percent said mental health care was a top community priority, according to the analysis. Parents of students in area school districts, including Greenwich, Scarsdale and White Plains, are facing a 32 percent increase in youth mental health incidences and a 41 percent increase in care costs.

“Families across Westchester and Connecticut tell us the same thing: they need a trusted source for mental health care, but navigating this in a silo is incredibly hard,” Brightline CEO Kari O’Rourke explained. “Long waitlists often force parents to choose between paying out of pocket or commuting long distances to find high-quality care covered by their insurance. Our new White Plains clinic helps more children, teens, and families access the evidence-based mental health care they need closer to home. This speed to care guides the caregiver’s journey and accelerates clinical answers through diagnosis, care, and treatment.”

The White Plains clinic will serve as a specialized mental health hub for the Westchester region and Connecticut. The company said its New York-area model combines in-person and virtual care across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Long Island and Westchester.

Brightline said its care teams include therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists. Services listed in the announcement include in-person psychological testing for autism, learning disorders, executive functioning, school readiness and giftedness, as well as diagnosis and treatment for depression, trauma, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and disruptive behaviors.

The company also said it offers psychiatry support, parent management training, parent-centered care plans and family-centered care plans coordinated with a child’s pediatrician.
