White Plains JazzFest Returns To Downtown In September For It's 15th Year

WHITE PLAINS, NY — It's time to make plans for the region's biggest fall music event.

JazzFest White Plains will return Sept. 23 to 27 for its 15th year, bringing 19 live performances to Westchester County.

The festival will feature legendary artists, contemporary innovators and emerging voices, with five GRAMMY Award winners and nominees in this year’s lineup. Headliners named in the announcement include the John Patitucci Trio with Danilo Pérez and Adam Cruz, the Ben Wendel Group, the Sylvie Courvoisier & Mary Halvorson Duo and the Nat Adderley Jr. Quartet.

The event will close with Sunday Jazz Alfresco, described in the announcement as a full day of performances on Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains. The announcement states that JazzFest White Plains “offers audiences a rare opportunity to experience the living evolution of jazz—from its foundational masters to the artists defining its future.”

Most JazzFest White Plains events are free, according to the announcement. The five ticketed headliner performances will take place at ArtsWestchester’s gallery at 31 Mamaroneck Ave., with tickets priced from $25 to $45.

The impressive lineup includes, John Patitucci, described as an influential bassist known for acoustic and electric bass; Ben Wendel, a GRAMMY-nominated saxophonist, composer and producer; and Mary Halvorson, a Brooklyn-based guitarist and composer whose 2025 album About Ghosts was named Best New Jazz Album of the Year by NPR Music and Slate.

Sylvie Courvoisier, a Switzerland native now based in Brooklyn, won the Swiss Grand Prix and The American Academy of Arts and Letters Music Award in 2025. Nat Adderley Jr. was described as a pianist, composer and arranger known for his work as musical director and arranger for Luther Vandross, and as a musician who has performed and recorded with artists including Aretha Franklin and Natalie Cole.

JazzFest White Plains is presented by Montefiore Einstein. It is produced in collaboration by ArtsWestchester, the City of White Plains and the White Plains BID, according to the announcement.
