BROOKLYN, NY —Emmy Squared Pizza is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a new menu from returning Founder and Culinary Director Matthew Hyland.
The new offerings pay tribute to the restaurant’s Brooklyn roots.

New dishes include Mimi Cheng’s Deluxe Dumpling Salad, featuring crispy fried dumplings, mandarin oranges and edamame; Artichokes with yuzu sesame oil and spicy red sauce; Sichuan Cucumbers with chili crisp and pickled red onions; and Caprese Bao with stracciatella, sun-dried tomato pesto and basil.

Two new pizzas round out the anniversary menu: the Arenstein Pie, topped with vodka sauce, pepperoni, pickled chili and honey, and the Artizoé Pie, featuring chopped artichoke hearts, ricotta, crispy artichoke chips and lemon.

"After taking a brief step away from Emmy Squared, I’m excited to return and bring my creative vision back to the menu," Hyland said.

"Working alongside Chef Kevin Stoeffler, we’ve developed an evolution of Emmy Squared’s food that puts high-quality ingredients at the forefront and stays true to the flavors and spirit that have always defined the brand. It’s been exciting to revisit our roots through a fresh lens, and we’re looking forward to welcoming both longtime guests and a new generation of diners to experience what we’ve created.”
Emmy Squared opened its first location in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, in 2016 and has since expanded throughout New York City and to other markets. The brand is known for its Detroit-style square pizzas, made with high-quality ingredients and a fully caramelized cheese edge.

The anniversary comes after the recent launch of the Skinny Square, a lighter version of the signature pie that uses the same blue steel pans, cheese, toppings and caramelized frico edge, but with approximately 40% less dough.
