Suspicious Person Complaint Leads To Arrest Of Man With LSD, MDMA, Ketamine, 'Shrooms,' Xanax, Coke: NYSP

The 33-year-old Somers man was remanded to the Westchester County Jail, and is scheduled back in court on Monday.

SOMERS, NY — There was something suspicious about the man found at a Hudson Valley pharmacy with a large drug stash of his own, according to police.

The New York State Police say that on Wednesday, around 9:09 p.m., troopers from Somers, along with Somers Police Department officers, responded to the CVS Pharmacy on State Route 100, in the Town of Somers, after receiving a report about two suspicious people.

Based on the descriptions provided, troopers found 33-year-old Corey J. Gardner, of Somers, and a female passenger.

State police say that Gardner showed signs of impairment while speaking with troopers. After failing standardized sobriety tests, he was arrested. The female passenger was released during the investigation.

During an inventory of Gardner's vehicle, troopers report finding around 4.2 grams of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), an estimated 13.4 grams of methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), about 44.6 grams of ketamine, approximately 12 grams of psilocybin mushrooms ("shrooms"), around 18.8 grams of alprazolam (Xanax), and about 54.4 grams of cocaine.

Gardner was charged with two felony counts of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; two felony counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (intent to sell); felony criminal possession of a controlled substance (narcotic); felony fourth-degree criminal possession of a narcotic; felony fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; misdemeanor driving while intoxicated; and misdemeanor driving while ability impaired by drugs.

He was arraigned in the Somers Town Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail. Gardner is scheduled to return to court on March 2.
