The Friends of the North Canton Public Library will be holding its semi-annual book sale August 19-22 at the library, 185 N. Main St.The sale is open to Friends members only from 4-7 pm on Wednesday, August 19, and to the general public from 10 am to 7 pm on Thursday, August 20, from 10 am to 5 pm on Friday, August 21, and from 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday, August 22.Saturday will be an all-day bag sale day, in which browsers may fill shopping bags with as many books and media as they wish and then make a contribution to the Friends.Do your Christmas shopping early!!
Persons interested in Friends of the NCPL membership can join Wednesday evening and shop the members only sale.A family membership is just $10 annually.
In addition to thousands of hardbound and paperback fiction books, categories include history, natural and social sciences, art, music, cooking, crafts and
hobbies, business, biography, politics, religion, movies/TV, fantasy/sci-fi, humor, pets, travel, gardening, home improvement, and sports.This time we have extensive inventories of history and biography books available, and a salivating collection of many really great cookbooks.
We have a very large inventory of CDs and DVDs/Blu-Ray, in addition to vinyl records, audio books, video games, and picture puzzles.And we have some very nice coffee table books, vintage books, special interest books, book sets, and other items that are individually priced.
All our fiction hard cover books are just $2, large paperbacks are $1.
Most sale items are priced between 50 cents and $3.
Cash or checks only please.We cannot accept credit cards.An ATM is available at the Chase bank location next door.
All proceeds from the Friends of the NCPL book sales are donated back to the library to support its acquisitions and programming.
Because of the library’s upcoming renovation, the Friends are not planning a March 2027 sale but are looking forward to a fabulous sale in August 2027!During the renovation, the Friends will not be able to accept donations.
