The race begins and ends at Camp Cheerful, 15000 Cheerful Lane, Strongsville. Races include 5K and 10K runs timed by Hermes, a 5K walk and 1 mile walk, and our Camp Cheerful Classic by our ACC program clients. Registration opens at 7:30 am with race kick-off at 9:00 am. Enjoy snacks, refreshments, and family-friendly activities!  Register to walk, run, donate or volunteer!

Three New Kids-Related Businesses Open in Strongsville
Aqua-Tots Swim Schools, Kidstrong, and a soon-to-be-announced third kid-related business open in a once nearly vacant strip mall. Strongsville Economic Development Director Brent Painter says, “Entrepreneurship and small business development are critical to the sustainability of Strongsville.” The new businesses will add growth and jobs to the local economy. 

Aqua-Tots teaches children water safety and swim lessons, or what the swim school calls, “Lessons for Life.” KidStrong helps kids “Win at Life” by developing a strong body, mind, and character. Both new businesses feature state-of-the-art facilities and expert coaches.

“Spring has Sprung” marks the finale of the Strongsville Community Band’s 36th season on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Strongsville Middle School*. But don’t worry- our 37th season begins June 5th with Strongsville City Jazz Swing Band, marking the start of summer.
This concert features guest soloist Debra Rose, performing beloved classics including As Time Goes By, Over the Rainbow, and Blue Moon.
The program also highlights works by Alfred Reed, Arlen &amp; Hupfeld, Rodgers &amp; Hart, and Percy Grainger. And keep your hands ready — a lively New Orleans tune may have you clapping along by the finale.

The Heartbeats Jump Rope Team is holding a community show on Saturday, June 6, 2026, 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the Haddad Theatre – located at 144 N. Broadway Street in Medina. The show is open to the public, will appeal to all ages, and will include audience participation as well.While there is no charge for admission, donations are always welcome.There will also be a 50/50 raffle.All funds raised from the show help support the team’s efforts. 
Often referred to as gymnastics and dance performed with a jump rope, athletes will astonish the audience with routines that include flips, tricks, spins, and more -- all while jumping a rope.
The Heartbeats promote the sport of jump rope as fun, healthy, challenging, competitive and entertaining for people of all ages.A life-long sport, jump rope helps build athletic skills and a positive self-image.
Founded in 1992 by Revere Schools physical education teacher Karen Koslowski-Cahoon, the Heartbeats have over three decades of history---competing nationally and internationally, captivating audiences, as well as serving the community. The team’s numerous outstanding achievements in competition are complemented by their local, regional, and national exposure from performances at parades and festivals as well as at professional and amateur sporting events. Team members have participated in five Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parades. Jump rope has been showcased many times on ESPN, Fox Sports, and America’s Got Talent.
