Paws to Read

Paws to Read  Drop in to read to one of TPL's special workers, therapy dogs.  They will be here from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in the Story Time rooms.  Stop in during that time and sign up for an opportunity to cuddle with a canine and read. Children's Place will supply books, or choose your own favorite book to share. You will need to sign up the day of the program for a 15 minute time slot to spend with your special canine friend. For independent readers ages 4 and up. Sept 21st, 11:00

 

Annual Friends Meeting

Thursday September 19, at 6:30 pm Please join your "Friends" of the Twinsburg Public Library for their Annual Meeting on  Following a brief business meeting, complete with refreshments, you will be entertinaed by Carol Starre-Kmiecik as she portrays the life of aviator pioneer Amelia Earhart.

Youth Chess

Youth chess classes continue at the library on Wednesdays, after school. Volunteers from the TPL adult chess club will be on hand between 3:00 and 5:00 to give chess lessons and play with school-aged kids who already know how to play.

From Job Notice to Hire: Searching for Jobs - Finding the Right Fit

Led by longtime job counselor, Ebony Williams, this course will take you from the first step of your job search to your ultimate goal of landing that job.   Ebony will present 5 classes in which the participants will explore their strengths, find the best places to look for existing jobs, learn to write an effective resume and apply either online or off.   For best results sign up for all five classes, however walk-ins are welcome.
