• Men charged with possession of methamphetamine: Westlake Police Blotter (cleveland.com) — Westlake police charged two men with meth possession after finding drugs and paraphernalia in a car stopped near Crocker and Detroit roads by Nordstrom Rack. In a separate incident, officers pursued a swerving Jeep through several Westlake streets before arresting a 54-year-old resident near Lee Burneson School on OVI and fleeing charges. Both cases highlight active traffic and drug enforcement in the city.
   

• Westlake police credit store clerk with stopping cryptocurrency scam (cleveland.com) — A quick-thinking Westlake convenience store clerk stopped a 45-year-old woman from losing more money to a cryptocurrency scam after she'd already deposited $1,950 into a Bitcoin ATM. The caller falsely claimed to be law enforcement collecting a jury-duty fine and guided her to the machine in Westlake. Police are now trying to trace the funds and urge residents to be wary of similar calls.
   

• Westlake's Meadowood Golf Course driving range to feature state-of-the-art equipment (cleveland.com) — Westlake is investing over $360,000 in high-tech ball-washing and ball-tracking systems for the new Meadowood Golf Course driving range, part of a $3 million upgrade. City Council approved contracts for automated ball handling and Trackman Range technology, creating a 40-station indoor-outdoor practice facility expected to open in 2027 with heated bays and advanced shot tracking.
