Metropolitan Ballet, located in Jenkintown, is a nonprofit organization holding its annual audition for it's full year tuition-free Boys' Scholarship Program. Classes begin in September 2026. Ages 7-17. No experience necessary, weekly, all-guys classes, and world class male instructors -Lead Faculty, Daniel Mayo (Julliard, BalletX) and Vitaly Verterich (Kiev Ballet School, Riverdance on Broadway). Wear gym clothes and socks for a 45 minute beginner class. Classes Enhance athletic skills, motor intelligence, balance, flexibility and strength. Performance opportunities. Come explore the fun!
From the academy’s announcement: "The Boys’ Scholarship Program provides tuition-free training in all-male classes designed to build motor intelligence, flexibility, and strength. Approximately 50 boys enroll each year for beginner – advanced Classical training, along with classes in Modern and Jazz dance. The Boys’ Scholarship Program has provided over $1.5 million in tuition-free classes to over 425 boys since its founding in 1999. The rigors of classical training and performance provide a framework for success for boys who build tenacity, time management and teamwork skills."
