New Memorial Day Tradition Begins At Abington High
On the day after the holiday, Abington Senior High School students started a tradition to honor America's fallen heroes.
ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A new tradition has begun.
One day after the Memorial Day holiday, students from Abington Senior High School gathered to honor America's fallen military heroes.
When classes resumed on Tuesday morning, students in the Military Club — led by Ms. Carmina Vanassche — laid a wreath at the flag pole.

The gesture was in memory of all those who lost their lives in service to the country, including many from the Abington Township community.
One of the club's graduating seniors, Kevin, was also recognized for his ongoing service to the Military Club throughout the duration of his high school career.
