Police Seek 'Large Group' In Abington Shooting
Abington Police said the shooting took place on Sunday night in the 300 block of Cadwalader Avenue.
ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Abington Police are investigating a shooting that took place on Sunday night in the township's Elkins Park section.
Abington Police responded at 8:15 p.m. on Sunday to the 300 block of Cadwalader Avenue for reports of gunfire.
Several callers told police about hearing numerous gunshots and observing a large group fleeing from the area of the basketball court behind the McKinley Firehouse.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a large group had been gathered near the basketball court.
As a vehicle traveled northbound on Cadwalader Avenue, two men ran into the parking lot of the McKinley Firehouse, retrieved firearms, and one male discharged multiple rounds at the passing vehicle, police said.

Following the shooting, the individuals fled the scene in two different vehicles.
One suspect fled in an unknown color Audi sedan, and the other suspect in a gray Infinity sedan.
At this time, no injuries have been reported to police or area hospitals.
One home in the 300 block of Cadwalader Avenue, was struck by a single round, police said.
Police said a neighborhood canvass did not identify any additional properties damaged by gunfire.
