3 Killed In Wrong-Way Crash On Main Line: Police
The driver sped past state troopers before hitting the other vehicles head-on, authorities said.
LOWER MERION, PA — Three people died after a driver traveled the wrong way down Interstate 76 and struck two vehicles head-on Saturday morning, authorities said.
At around 4:50 a.m., a white Ford pickup truck traveled the wrong way on I-76 West in Philadelphia, according to State Police. Troopers saw the truck heading for them and tried to stop it, but the driver fled and continued, police said.
Troopers say they tried to stop the truck once more, but the driver sped past them and hit two other vehicles head-on on I-76 West in Lower Merion.

Three people were killed. Police withheld the identities of the striking driver and the victims.
