Fire In Bedroom Of Main Line House Extinguished

ARDMORE, PA — A fire in the bedroom of an Ardmore house was extinguished Friday, officials said.

The fire was reported at 9:07 a.m. at 203 Linwood Ave., where first-arriving crews found it in a second-floor bedroom.

Firefighters from stations throughout Lower Merion extinguished it quickly, said Tom Hayden, chief of the Merion Fire company of Ardmore.

No injuries were reported.

"The quick response and coordinated work of all companies on scene helped keep the fire contained and prevented a more serious incident," Hayden said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
