Philadelphia Eagles Legends Golf At Main Line Course Ahead Of Amateur Championship
The Main Line will welcome the 126th U.S. Amateur Championship next month.

ARDMORE, PA — As Merion Golf Club in Ardmore prepares to host the 126th U.S. Amateur Championship, two Philadelphia Eagles legends hit the course.
Jason Kelce and Saquon Barkley hit the links in a segment for NBC Sports Philadelphia, which caught up with them as the Eagles entered training camp. (Click here to watch the segment.)
It also allowed NBC to promote the U.S. Amateur Championship, which will air on its family of networks in August.

Both athletes are avid golfers. Since retiring from football, Kelce has become visible at Philly-area golf events while participating in high-profile tournaments.
Barkley, meanwhile, has shown that golf isn't just a retirement activity. In a 2021 feature, Golf Magazine called him "obsessed" with the sport as he got professionally fitted to improve his swings.

The U.S. Amateur, meanwhile, will showcase 312 elite amateur golfers. Nineteen past winners later won major championships at the professional level, including Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer.
The U.S. Amateur Championship runs from Aug. 10-16 at Merion Golf Club.
