'Modern' General Store To Replace Former Main Line Music Shop

NARBERTH, PA — A Main Line storefront long-occupied by a musical-instrument shop will get new life as a "Jeneral" store.

Jeneral Store expects to open this fall at 104 Forrest Ave. in Narberth — the former location of Danny's Guitar Shop, which permanently closed a few months back.

Jeneral Store describes itself as "a modern take on the traditional general store — the heart of small-town life where utility, quality, and community intersect."

Founded Jennifer Kurland, a Narberth resident, wants to make it a place to create and connect. Products will include flowers, home good and vintage finds. The store also plans to hold drop-in crafts and workshops.

For 17 years, Danny's Guitar Shop was a local hub for guitar retail, lessons and repairs. The store closed in May, when owner Dan Gold retired.
