Chemical Spill Reported In Bensalem Building

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — The Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department is responding to a hazardous materials incident.

Fire companies were dispatched on Thursday afternoon to a building on Somerton Road for a reported chemical spill with a smoke condition.

The Emergency Alerts of Southeastern Pennsylvania reported that the incident was at the Veolia Pilot Plant.

Numerous fire companies and Hazmat units are on the scene.

The call was upgraded from a fire alarm to the Hazmat incident.
