National Night Out Set For Tuesday In Bensalem

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — National Night Out is coming to the township on Tuesday night with an event planned at the Township Pavilion.

National Night Out is an annual, nationwide campaign that promotes strong police-community partnerships, neighborhood camaraderie, and brings residents and police together for a night of fun and socialization.

National Night Out events are free, family-friendly, and open to the public.

National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances, according to the organization's website.

Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP

Residents can meet the Bensalem Township Police Department, the Bensalem Fire Department, and check out EMS, police, and emergency vehicles.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. and runs through 8:30 p.m. at the Township Pavilion on 2400 Byberry Road.

Check out the “Behind Closed Doors” educational trailer. There will also be a Bensalem Police K9 demonstration.

Vehicle Displays include a Police Crime Scene Truck, Command Post, Motorcycles, Patrol Cars, SWAT, Police Drone, Police UTV’s and a Philadelphia Police Helicopter flyover.

Light refreshments will also be served.
