Buckingham's 2nd Night Market Set For Friday At Holicong Park

BUCKINGHAM, PA — After a hugely successful debut, Buckingham Township’s second Night Market is set for Friday at Holicong Park.

The event will feature a repeat of July’s event, plus lots more fun, including a visit from Twyl, an experiential traveling trolley and creative portal based in Bucks County.

“Our very first Buckingham Night Market exceeded every expectation,” said Lisa Braud, who is spearheading the event for the township’s parks and recreation board. “The park was filled with families, friends, live music, local vendors, delicious food trucks and free activities for children. More than anything, it was filled with the community spirit that makes Buckingham so special.

“But the fun isn’t over! Join us at Holicong Park for our next market on Friday,” she said.

To handle the crowds, organizers have added four additional overflow lots for Friday's event, which takes place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

At the heart of the event will be 45 market vendors featuring a mix of farm stands, local businesses, artisan vendors, and community partners.

Joining the farm lineup will be None Such Farm, McArdle Holiday Farm, and Froehlich's.

A free Kids Zone will again offer plenty for the kids to do, including bounce houses, balloon art, and complimentary face painting.

Joining the fun on Friday will be a special pop-up featuring Twyl, an experiential traveling trolley and creative portal where children and adults can discover new books, dive into hands-on workshops, attend free storytimes, and experience a rotating world of wonder.

Rounding out the activities will be fun and games organized by the Parks and Recreation Board.

More than 10 food trucks and booths will be on site including Skips Chicken, Smokestack BBQ, Bon Jour Creperie, Top Dog Hot Dogs, Harvest Pizza, Travelin Tom’s Coffee and more. Also there will be Aurora Bistro from Buckingham Green and Free Spirit with mocktails.

New additions this month include Perk City Flavor, None Such Farm (produce and prepared food, such as corn on the cob), The Comfort Kitchen, and the Amsterdam Coffee Bar.

“There’s something for everyone,” said Braud. “It's the perfect way to spend a summer evening with family, friends, and neighbors while supporting the amazing local businesses that make Buckingham special,” she said.

Braud, who owns Hollow House Farm at Dark Hollow and Swamp Roads and who has been organizing farmer’s markets in other townships, said she’s excited to bring the new night concept to her home and connect the community to local businesses and to the local farming community.

The event is also designed to give residents a reason to engage with the parks, said Braud.

“Many people don’t have a relationship with our parks. Maybe they don’t have a reason. They don’t have kids in sports. They don’t run or jog. Let’s allow them to come see Holicong Park,” she said. “Come meet local businesses and organizations, meet their neighbors, and just have that feel-good energy of an evening.”

The third and final Night Market is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 25, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Holicong Park.
