Arts Festival Returns To The Streets Of Doylestown For 35th Anniversary (Video Preview)

DOYLESTOWN, PA – The Doylestown Arts Festival returns to the streets of Doylestown Borough for its 35th anniversary on Saturday, Sept. 12 and Sunday, Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

With more than 170 juried artists scheduled to exhibit, along with 40 musical acts slated to perform, the volunteer-organized festival continues its mission to highlight independent creators, support small businesses, and raise awareness of the regional cultural scene.

Locals and visitors have come to love the free and ever-evolving outdoor marketplace featuring some of the region’s most talented independent artists.

Visitors can look forward to a variety of live art activities and interactive demonstrations, including wheel-thrown pottery, glass blowing, face painting, sand art, a glitter bar, and much more. Local museums, non-profits, and popular destinations will add to the vibrancy of the weekend through the festival’s ongoing cultural partner program.

“The Doylestown Arts Festival isn’t just an event in Doylestown; in many ways it IS Doylestown. A celebration of art organized entirely by members of the community, showing visitors how special our community is with warmth, acceptance, and a quirky spin. Fusing the artistic wonders with the downtown businesses, it’s a celebration of the best of who we are,” said Doylestown Borough Councilperson Jennifer Jarret.

A diverse food court returns to Dommel Way, featuring food vendors and trucks alongside Doylestown’s permanent downtown roster of exceptional restaurants, cafes, and a beer garden in partnership with Neshaminy Creek Brewing located in the Pine Street lot.

“The Doylestown Arts Festival is a perfect example of ‘it takes a village…’ So many in the community give of their time and efforts to help make for a successful and fun weekend. My biggest thrill is to look around and see so many happy faces enjoying our little town—many for the first time,” says Tom Brunt, a resident and local business owner.

As one of the largest free-to-attend arts festivals in southeastern Pennsylvania, the Doylestown Arts Festival strives to make the arts more accessible to the public by bringing art, music, and a variety of the region's cultural destinations and organizations onto the street for all to experience and enjoy.

The festival also serves as an introduction to the community to visitors from near and far, who are drawn to Doylestown for its vibrant festivities and the well-known cultural scene.

The Doylestown Arts Festival and Borough of Doylestown are continuing to improve parking options for attendees.

The festival takes place just blocks from the SEPTA Regional Rail station and bus stops, as well as the Doylestown Dart will be providing free accessible shuttle services to offsite parking. Uber and Lyft both have active drivers in the area for those who want to avoid parking.
