Food Drive Celebrates Dolly Parton Day In Doylestown Borough

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Doylestown Borough is celebrating Dolly Parton Day by giving back to the community.

From now through Friday, the public is invited to drop off unopened, nonperishable food items during business hours at the Doylestown Borough Hall, 10 Doyle Street.

The donations will then be delivered to the New Britain Food Pantry in Warrington Township.

Dolly Parton Day is celebrated on Sept. 25, a calendar date that playfully references her iconic hit song "9 to 5". Communities across the nation mark the day with proclamations and service projects honoring Dolly's life, musical legacy, and philanthropy.
