Teens Face Charges After Swiping Funko Collectibles In Warrington

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Two township teenagers are facing charges after allegedly stealing Funko pop collectibles from the Walmart store.

On Wednesday, police were called to the store for a retail theft. Upon arrival, they learned from the store’s loss prevention employee that a girl and boy had selected six Funko Pop Animation collectible figures valued at $89.28.

Police were told the teens then moved to another area of the store, where they opened the packages and concealed the figures inside a purse being carried by the girl and discarded the packages on a shelf.

After concealing the merchandise, store personnel told police the two selected additional items valued at $7.79 and proceeded to the checkout area.

During the transaction, the boy entered his phone number for Walmart Rewards, which provided investigators with identifying information, including his last name.

The two then left the store without paying for the concealed merchandise.

Through an investigation, officers identified the female as an 18-year-old girl from Warrington and the boy as a 17-year-old juvenile, also from Warrington.

On Thursday, both were processed in connection with the retail theft.
