How it works: When people book an appointment at one of the participating spas, salons, or med-spas, a percentage of their treatment and/or product fee will benefit Kin Wellness and Support Center and local cancer patients, their caregivers and oncology healthcare workers. The program was created so local residents can transfer their self-care into care for local cancer patients.
“We are so pleased to see this event growing year-over-year. It continues to attract the most giving local business across Bucks County. Kin is proud to create opportunities and events that perpetuate purposeful wellness,” said Keith Fenimore, co-founder and executive director of Kin Wellness and Support Center.
Kin is an all-inclusive 5,000-square-foot facility offering support, fitness, therapy, and integrative services. The founding of the center was inspired by Bucks County resident Corinne Sikora, who battled both brain and breast cancer and who suggested such a place be created for cancer patients.
The center is free to Bucks County residents battling cancer regardless of where they are receiving treatment and welcomes caregivers as well. Free programs include nutrition, yoga, fitness, one-on-one counseling, support groups, workshops, massage, reflexology, reiki, chiropractic, acupuncture, and facials. Kin is a unique Center that looks to satisfy the emotional, social and physical needs of cancer patients.
The success of Kin is made possible through generous donations from the local Bucks County Community. Kin’s mission is to help people find calm and peace and center themselves in a restorative environment. The non-profit strives to bring people to a place where they feel empowered to manage their diagnoses through treatment, recovery and beyond.
