Warrington To Commemorate Sept. 11th With Patriots Day Ceremony

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A Patriots Day Remembrance Ceremony will be held on Friday, Sept. 11, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Warrington Township Building, 852 Easton Road, Warrington 18976.

The solemn ceremony will provide an opportunity for the community to come together in reflection and remembrance on the 25th anniversary of the terror attacks of September 11, 2001.

On that day, 19 terrorists associated with al-Qaeda hijacked four commercial airplanes in a coordinated attack against the United States, killing 2,977 people at the World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and in a field in western Pennsylvania.

The commemoration in Warrington is organized by the Warrington Township Veteran Affairs Committee.
