4 Upcoming Festivals In Haverford Twp.: Live Music, Drone Show, America250
With the nation's 250th approaching, Haverford Township has several free, America250-infused events on the calendar.
HAVERFORD, PA — Haverford Township residents and visitors will have several opportunities this year to take part in local America250 celebrations as the United States approaches its 250th anniversary.
Organizers have scheduled a series of community events highlighting local history, culture and civic pride. Here are a few coming up:
Haverford Heritage Festival

June 7, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; along Karakung Drive in Havertown
The celebrations begin with the Haverford Heritage Festival on June 7, bringing together community members to explore the township’s history and traditions.

The family-friendly festival features live local music, food vendors, free tours of Nitre Hall and Lawrence Cabin, and more. More info.
Irish America 250 - Havertown Irish Festival
June 13, 12-8 p.m.; at Eagle Road and East Hathaway Lane, Havertown
The festival will celebrate the influence of Irish-Americans over the past 250 years. It will feature live music, dancers, food trucks, craft vendors, a beer garden and family activities.
Admission is free, but donations help support the festival. More info.
Illumination 250 Festival
Aug. 29, 12-9 p.m.; at Haverford High School's AJ Cornog Stadium (200 Mill Rd., Havertown)
Later in the summer, a drone show will illuminate the sky over Haverford High School. The event will also include live entertainment, food trucks, craft vendors and a kid's zone.
Admission is free, but organizers say donations are appreciated. More info.
Haverford Music Festival
Sept. 26, 12-9 p.m.; at 50 E Eagle Rd., Havertown
The America250 events will continue into the fall with the 14th-annual Haverford Music Festival. The family-friendly event will feature 16 artists with a range of "uniquely American" musical styles on two stages.
Festivities will also include food truck, a kid's zone and a beer garden. The event is free, but donations are welcome. More.
The events are part of Delaware County’s broader America250 initiative, which includes more than 100 events through the calendar year.
