Fatal Police Shooting In Delco Under Investigation: Officials

ALDAN, PA — An investigation is underway after a deadly police shooting early Thursday in Delaware County.

Police were dispatched around 3:30 a.m. near South Clifton Avenue and Aldan Avenue in Aldan, according to KYW. At the scene, an officer fatally shot a man, says CBS News.

It's unclear why police were dispatched and what led to the reported shooting.

A spokesperson for the Delaware County District Attorney's Office said there's an active investigation into the incident. But no other details were immediately provided.

A large police presence in the area included investigators from the Delaware County District Attorney's Office and officers from Sharon Hill, Lansdowne and Darby, KYW said.
