Fire Tears Through Delco Smoke Shop

DREXEL HILL, PA — A smoke shop caught fire Sunday night in Delaware County.

The fire emerged around 11:20 p.m. at Discount Smoke, a cigar and vape shop on State Road in Drexel Hill. Heavy flames were visible from the front of the store.

Crews controlled the fire within 15 minutes and prevented it from damaging any adjoining businesses, according to Upper Darby Professional Firefighters.

No injuries were reported.

There was no immediate word on what caused the fire.

Discount Smoke is part of a commercial complex that includes a CVS. The store was closed during the fire, according to its posted hours.

Patch's efforts to contact a store representative were unsuccessful.
