Drone Show, Festival, Family Fun: Haverford To Go Big For Nation's 250th Birthday

Haverford is hosting a day of family fun, which will culminate with a choreographed drone show in the night sky.

HAVERTOWN, PA — Haverford Township will celebrate America’s 250th birthday in a big way this summer with the "ILLUMINATION 250 Festival," a full day of family-friendly entertainment culminating in a choreographed drone show.

Presented by Visit Delco, the free community event will take place Saturday, Aug. 29, from 12-9 p.m. at Haverford High School Football Stadium (200 Mill Road, Havertown).

The festival is part of Haverford Township's broader USA 250 Celebration, commemorating the nation's semiquincentennial. Organizers say the event will bring the community together for a day filled with live music, dancing, children's activities, crafts, food trucks, and inflatables before the evening sky is illuminated by a grand-finale drone light show synchronized to music.
