Mile-Long Road Closure To Take Weeks In Haverford Twp.
The roadway will close daily as PECO performs utility work, officials said.
HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — A mile-long stretch of College Avenue in Haverford Township will close daily for several weeks as PECO Energy performs utility work, according to PennDOT.
On weekdays from July 7 through July 31, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., College Avenue will be closed and detoured between Darby Road and Haverford Road, PennDOT said. Here's a map of the area.
Drivers will be detoured to Darby Road, Ardmore Avenue and Haverford Road. Local access will be maintained at all times, PennDOT said.

Traffic delays could occur, so PennDOT recommends allowing extra time when traveling near the work area.
PECO will complete utility restoration with a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
