Borough Ball “Service Awards “ for 2026

The Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce will honor its “2026 Service Award winners at the biennial Borough Ball that will be held on Saturday March 21, 2026 at Spring Mill Country Club in Ivyland, PA. This event is organized by the Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are $75.00 per person. Reservations are accepted until March 7, 2026.

“Our award winners will be honored for distinguished service rendered to the Borough of Hatboro characterized by selfish devotion to the welfare of others,” says Borough Ball Awards Committee Chairman Robert M. John, Esq.

The Service to Public Award is being presented to Ms Kate Valesky, Fire Marshal/Emergency Management Coordinator for the Borough of Hatboro. Kate is also currently serving as a fire officer of the Enterprise Fire Company of Hatboro as Captain. In addition to her commitment to our community Kate is Battalion Chief at her local home Fire Department, Huntingdon Valley Fire Company.

The Service to Community Award is presented to Linda Roehner CEO and President of Hatboro Federal. She has spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at improving the lives of Hatboro’s residents, including promoting homeownership, generously donating to many local school districts educational foundations, mentoring youth in their educational efforts working closely on special events with Hatboro organizations and fundraisers benefiting the Hatboro Police Department.

The Service to Youth Award is presented to Jim Moran, also known by many as Mr. Jim. Storytime with Mr Jim is a staple at the Union Library of Hatboro on Tuesday and Friday Mornings. In addition to Jim volunteering to host Storytime at the Hatboro Library. Jim also volunteers his time around Hatboro: Union Library Book Sale, the Millbrook Society History Event, Earth Day, EAC Tree Planting and National Night Out.

The Service to Business Award is presented to Crooked Eye Brewery- Paul Hogan and Pete Mulherin founders. Crooked Eye has been in business since 2014 and over the years they have hosted and participated in many different fundraisers in the town of Hatboro. The biggest fundraiser was for Hatboro’s Police Officer Ryan Allen, to help with the family’s expenses. They are always ready and willing to lend a helping hand.

“On behalf of the chamber’s awards committee,” says the Chamber Board of Directors, we want to thank everyone who nominated a candidate for these prestigious awards, and to all exemplary candidates who have dedicated time and energy to improve the life in our community.”
