School officials said that snow and ice remain on side streets and throughout neighborhoods.

"These conditions are creating especially hazardous travel for students waiting at bus stops and for our transportation team navigating back roads early in the morning," school officials said. "Out of an abundance of caution, this closure is necessary to ensure the safety of students at bus stops and to allow additional time for road conditions to improve before buses travel throughout the community."
