Hatboro-Horsham Teacher Placed On Administrative Leave
The Hatboro-Horsham schools superintendent said an investigation is underway over the teacher's "concerning social media messages."
HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — A Hatboro-Horsham High School science teacher has been placed on administrative leave following a social media post that has enraged community members for its language and opinions.
The post, obtained by Patch, was made by a "bakeranandp" last week and uses a curse word against "ICE, Nazis, Trump, and MAGA."
Schools Superintendent Scott Eveslage notified high school families in an email that the school district had become aware on Friday morning of "concerning social media messages posted by a high school staff member."

"We take the investigation into potential policy violations very seriously," the superintendent said. "The District has initiated a formal review and is actively investigating the matter in accordance with our policies, procedures, and applicable law.
Eveslage said the unidentified staff member has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

"As this is a personnel matter, the District will maintain confidentiality throughout the investigation process," the superintendent said. "Please know that appropriate steps are being taken to ensure a thorough and fair review."
