'Horsham Idol' Returning Next Month

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — It's back!

"Horsham Idol" — the local version of the longtime popular singing contest — is returning next month, township officials have announced.

The winners will be announced on Horsham Day on June 6 at Deep Meadow Park on Horsham Road. (The rain date is June 7.)

Who can audition?

Those who live within the Hatboro-Horsham School District boundaries and are 18 years of age or older can audition for the Top 3.

On Horsham Day, our Top 3 singers will perform on the main stage for the Horsham Idol judges and Horsham Day crowds.

How can I audition?

Through the audition form, contestants can submit their video audition. Video auditions are due by May 11th at 5 p.m.

Rehearsals are located at Horsham Township Community Center, 1025 Horsham Road.

Rehearsals are scheduled for:

  • May 28 — 7-9 p.m.
  • June 4 — 7-9 p.m. (Final Rehearsal)

After the judges deliberate on Horsham Day, the winner will be announced, and then sing the National Anthem before the fireworks.

The winners will be awarded the following prizes:

1st Place Prizes:

  • $100 Check from sponsor Horsham Rotary
  • Four half-hour music classes for one month ($175 value) with a T-shirt from George's Music

2nd & 3rd Place Prizes:

  • Horsham Day T-Shirt
  • Horsham Day Color-Changing Collectible Cup.

Horsham Idol 2007 winner, Tammy Tuckey, will return to host the event and provide the Top 3 singers some vocal and performance instruction leading up to Horsham Day.

Tuckey is an Emmy-award winning filmmaker, actress, podcaster, and singer. She is thrilled to be returning to volunteer for Horsham Day (her 18th year) and bringing back "Horsham Idol" to center stage!Click here for more information about Horsham Idol
