Major Montco-Based Company Moving Out Of State

Bimbo Bakeries USA is relocating its headquarters from Horsham Township to the Dallas area, the company has announced.

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Bimbo Bakeries USA — the largest commercial baking company in the country — is relocating its headquarters from the township.

The company has announced that it has moved to Dallas, Texas, to better align its U.S. operations, bring it closer to the parent company's global office in Mexico, and bolster long-term growth.

The company is a subsidiary of the Mexico-based Grupo Bimbo, which has over 153,000 employees throughout the world and 20,000 in the United States.

Patch has reached out to township officials seeking comment about the departure of Bimbo Bakeries.

The U.S headquarters was established in the Philadelphia area in 2009. It had been based in Fort Worth, Texas.

“Our commitment to baking and delivering the highest‑quality, nutritious and delicious baked goods and snacks to our customers remains our top priority,” said Greg Koehrsen, President of Bimbo USA. “Relocating our headquarters to Dallas positions us to operate more efficiently as we continue to invest in our brands and our communities.”

Dallas is already a significant market for Bimbo USA, with multiple bakeries, sales centers, and distribution facilities across the Dallas–Fort Worth area, the company said.

Texas has long played an important role in the company’s history. In 1998, Grupo Bimbo entered the U.S. market through the acquisition of Mrs. Baird’s Bakery. Since then, Bimbo USA has expanded its footprint across Texas and the Dallas–Fort Worth region.

“Texas was our first home and played a defining role in our early history,” Koehrsen said. “We’ve built a strong presence here over the years, and this region remains central to who we are today. We’re looking forward to deepening those roots as we grow and continuing to support the communities that have supported us.”
