West Monument Avenue Bridge Will Need Repairs: Officials

Hatboro Borough officials and staff met with the Borough Engineer late last week about the bridge.

HATBORO, PA — The West Monument Avenue Bridge will need repairs, borough officials said.

Borough officials and staff met with the borough engineer late last week for an inspection on the bridge. As a result, the Borough Public Works Department will be doing some repairs to the bridge.

While the repairs are not immediate, staff will be working and coordinating with the engineer in the coming weeks, officials said.

Once the necessary supplies arrive, the project will begin.

Officials said the bridge will need to be closed for about 24 to 48 hours. The borough will provide updates on when this closure will begin.

The borough will also hold a Town Hall meeting at 6 p.m. on April 1 to discuss the grant that the borough has received and next steps for this grant funding regarding the bridge.
