4 People Displaced, Sheltered By Red Cross After Lansdale Fire
The destructive two-alarm blaze shut down streets in Lansdale throughout the afternoon Wednesday.
LANSDALE, PA — Four people were displaced and sheltered overnight by the Red Cross after the destructive blaze in a Lansdale apartment building Wednesday afternoon.
The residents were brought to the shelter at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church where they were provided with meals, snacks, device charging, and a safe place to sleep.
"The Red Cross is working our community partners to assess ongoing needs and determine next steps for those in our care," they said Thursday morning.

The incident occurred just after noon Wednesday at 53 E. Main Street.
Heavy smoke could be seen coming from the roof and windows, and flames from the windows.

Fire trucks from several surrounding municipalities responded to the scene as a second alarm was struck.
The building was evacuated and roads in the area were shut down for hours.
No injuries have yet been reported.
The cause of the blaze is not known and remains under investigation.
The Red Cross shelter will remain open for local impacted residents on Thursday.
